The Jamaica Defence Force Co-operative Credit Union (JDFCCU) is aiming to increase its membership from 7,600 to over 9,000 by extending the definition of who can become a member.

THe JDFCCU has “expanded its membership bond beyond employees and ex-employees of JDF and their spouses”, according to a recent press release.

The new charter allows the credit union to also serve the immediate relatives of existing members – children, siblings and parents – as well as affiliated organisations.

Affiliated organisations are any non-military, civilian organisation that is resident on military insulation, and includes suppliers companies associations, institutions, and professionals who provide services to the JDF, such as Sagicor Bank and Civilian Amenities Centre located at the Up Park Camp location.
